Due to the overwhelming response to our new t-shirts, we're now sold out of most sizes and will be shutting down online sales for the time being. If you missed out, we'll have a new batch for sale at Girlyman shows starting in February.
Girlyman CDs
Everything's Easy - the new CD!
Girlyman's fourth studio album, is the band's
most intimate and sophisticated effort. Self-produced
and engineered, Everything's Easy was
recorded with a single, ten thousand dollar microphone,
financed by fan donations. This microphone, along
with the work of Grammy-winning mixer Ben Wisch,
has created an immeasurably rich sound.
"The harmonies are tighter than ever."
- Boston Globe
Girlyman spent the fall of 2007 recording shows
throughout the Northeast. With 29 tracks, Somewhere
Different Now has covers, previously unrecorded
songs, witty banter, and improvised songs. The
album is 76 minutes of intensity, levity, and
harmony. With Somewhere Different Now,
you can now experience a Girlyman concert in
the privacy of your own home.
Co-produced with Bob Harris, Joyful Sign features
the band's folk/pop/bluegrass sound but with
a sense of confidence, energy and spirit that
the trio has become known for live. The album
is a showcase for memorable, well-crafted songs,
graced by the group's signature three-part harmonies.
"It's Girlyman's third full-length album,
and it looks like the third time is the charm.
Solid and sweet harmonies, clean musicianship
and a set of 14 songs that stick to your ribs
make Joyful Sign a high-flying achievement."
- Bay Area Reporter
Girlyman's second CD. Released in 2005 by Daemon
Records.
"Just when you really get into the groove
of one of the best new folk-rock bands to appear
on the scene since Ani DiFranco reinvented the "one
girl, one guitar" routine, Little Star is
over. At the end of "This Is Me," you're
abandoned, left howling for more; naked, crazy,
and prepared to hunt down Ty, Nate, and Doris
so you can make them sing to you all day long.
Then the repeat function on your stereo kicks
in, and your inner beast is calmed for another
46.4 minutes." – Boston
Edge
Winner of a 2002 OutMusic Award, this Ty & Doris
duo recording features beautiful writing, intricate
harmonies, and a picture of the two of them together
when they were eight years old.
