GIRLYMAN
Remember Who I Am
DAEMON RECORDS
I challenge
anyone to listen to this disc and not immediately fall in love
with Girlyman. Made up of Doris Muramatsu, Tammy Greenstein,
and Nate Borofsky, this queer trio creates musical gems with
harmonies so tight you can bounce a quarter off them. Sounding
like the Indigo Girls with a pop edge, songs like "Viola" and
"David" take the listener on an emotional journey. "Postcards
From Mexico" is a hilarious kiss-off song, and "Amaze Me" challenges
even the most unpatriotic American to love our country during
this grim political climate. And on top of it all, their name
turns Governor SchwarzeneggerÌs insult into a badge of honor. Jeffrey
