FYI girlyman fans: ty and doris are totally on the screen during the first segment with the indigo girls in the movie wordplay! they're all up on stage (at the saratoga, california concert from last july) singing "closer to fine." you can see some of my friends and i during some of the crowd shots too. hee hee hee! it was so awesome seeing them (and us and IG) on the big screen. my friend and i went to see the movie tonight (it opened today) - we liked it so much that we bought tickets for the later showing as well, and saw the movie a second time 20 mins after we saw it for the first time!

| The movie is called "Wordplay" and is about the New York Times crossword puzzle, the creator (Will Shortz), crossword puzzle tournaments, and famous people who play the puzzle (Jon Stewart, Bill Clinton, Indigo Girls, etc.). Looks totally awesome! |

I'm guessing it's only playing in indie theatres right now, correct? It probably won't come anywhere around where I live, but here's hoping!

OMG - that is just soooo cool. I was AT that concert in Saratoga, CA. I cannot WAIT to see this film and see Ty and Doris up on the big screen - woo-hoo!!!!!
This is also the concert that I first met Spike in person - that makes this film so cool on so many levels....

SNOOP: yup. i'm still here. we saw wordplay in north berkeley (errr, maybe it was albany). you have to know exactly where to look to see me and my friends. it totally cracked me up. yeah, poor nate.  anyway, how have you been? i'll be down, closer to your neck of the woods, for the IG show in saratoga. are you coming?

Wordplay is showing at some of the AMC theaters around Denver. Haven't seen it yet, but certainly plan to. So....for someone who has never met you, Spike...where are you located in that special scene? That's awesome in many ways.

SUE: umm, i was sitting in the first row right in front of amy. but you have to be really quick to spot us. it was easy for me because i knew exactly where we were. by the way, someone on the IG list is selling three extra boulder tickets (at face, i think). the seats are crap, but at least you'd be there.
