Hey there,
There is a website called Phonezoo.com or Myxer.com that you can upload the songs and make your own. It's super easy... free, too. If you have those songs on your computer somewhere it'll work just fine for you.

Doris's friend died of cancer.

in some cases, the cancer is caught too late or perhaps the person can't fight it anymore and decides to let go.

Hello, I am a new forum member, so I took some time to search for the answer to my question before posting, but I didn't find anything.

Could anyone give me more background on the song "Say Goodbye"? I read somewhere that it was about a beloved professor, and then I heard Doris say on the live album that it was about her friend Tracy. I don't want to get too personal or into things that are none of my business, but what I'm wondering is what were the circumstances of Tracy's death? When I listen to the lyrics, "Either way, you already made up your mind" it makes it sound as though death was a choice. The line "Can't believe you're wanting to go" also supports that idea.

I was thinking about what a tremendous source of comfort this song must be to those who have lost someone, but those lyrics don't really make sense to me in a context where the deceased didn't take his/her own life.

Just curious. Again, none of my business, I know.

I've enjoyed hearing you sing since the first time I saw you guys (4+ years ago), but until last night at the Iron Horse, had come to expect my vocal "wow moments" to come from Doris and Nate.

I don't know if it's an evolution in your style, something you've worked on, JJ freeing you up somehow, or something else, but it feels like you've found a whole new level of wonder and beauty.

That, and JJ joining the band have made better what already seemed perfect.

Hey there, hope all is well. Forgive me if this question is redundant (I only glanced back a few pages of this board to see if anyone has recently asked) but I was wondering if Girlyman ringtones will be available anytime in the near future? It would be so great to be able to randomly hear a bit of YJD or Carols at Christmas, amongst many others, whenever i recieve a call or text!!! Like having a lil piece of yall with me everywhere I go

Last night's show was excellent - I hope y'all were able to find extra tickets and make it in. The place was packed and they sounded great.

The highlight for me was St Stephen - I haven't heard it in years and it was great to hear it again. The addition of JJ the drummer really elevates the sound of the performance.

The original opener couldn't make it in due to weather, so Katie Todd opened. It was my first time hearing her and she was great!

It was great to see both shows in those settings, and gigi and I appreciate how gracious you were after both shows. gigi slept on the ride back to st. louis right after charleston, but the good feelings from the two shows in four days (and your music filling the car--with "tangled up in blue" slipping in there) kept me wide awake. as we said, we feel very lucky that we found you. travel safely, thanks for the set list, and we will watch for when you get close again. gigi and tom

also, i'm playing this in standard D, capo 2,
and just laying off the top strings
to imitate the sound on "everything's easy."
